Back in the spring of 1986, Richard P. Barba Jr. “Rick” as he was known by his friends & family, decided to open an insurance agency specializing in classic & antique car insurance for he and all of his friends who owned “street rods”, classics and antique automobiles.
On any given day back then, you could walk into the office and catch Rick behind his desk, and baby Ricky in his playpen set up next to Marie’s desk. This was a real family-run business! With the help of his wife Marie, the “Vintage Agency” grew in leaps and bounds primarily because of their personal interest they extended to each client, and Rick’s attention to details. From one “car guy” to another, Rick could tailor an antique or street rod policy as only a “car guy” could!
Over the next few years, Rick continued to grow his business by adding Homeowners and Auto insurance to the list of products offered. His dream was to build “Vintage Agency” into a full service, “one stop shop.”
Sadly, in 1993, Rick passed away, but his dream did not. Wife Marie quickly grabbed the reins and lovingly continued to build “Vintage Agency” into the business it is today.
We are now a “full service”, “one stop shop,” specializing in all types of insurance and investments. We can show you how to plan for your retirement, fund your children or grandchildren’s college costs, and even show you how to protect your estate if illness should befall you.
Stop in and you will see Marie behind the desk…oh, and baby Ricky is now 21years old and…you guessed it, drives a customized, 1949 Ford Club Coupe.
